To say the day had been exhausting would not accurately illustrate the truth. Catching the train home from London, falling asleep and waking up in another country would.
Of course, there's nothing wrong with an unplanned trip to Scotland. But there's something wrong with cockroach infested B & Bs who charge forty-five quid a night.

it's still amazing to me how you guys over there hop on trains and go to iconic places with so much history.
you know, eric, we take it for granted.
if you ever come to england, and you want history, make sure you go to this place in Nottingham:

Hmm, I didn't think Scotland met the criteria to be called a country?
Also, I agree with Eric.
Alright, not an independent country.
That necessitated a bit of lazy research.
Ah, semantics. Okay, Rusty, I'll give you that one.
Though, both Scotland and Wales are heading toward becoming independent.
Scotland has it's own parliament, and Wales also has its own devolved government. Though, I don't believe either Scotland or Wales could survive independently in the current economic climate.
Beats the heck out of "falling asleep on the train, and winding up in the sea."
It is an island, after all.
leslie, given the state of the rail network here, it wouldn't surprise me if that happened.
